Pineapple Upside Down Cake
- 1/2 Cup unsalted butter
- 1 Cup packed brown sugar
- 1 Can pineapple slices, drained 20 ounces
- Maraschino cherries, for garnish
- 1 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 Tea S baking powder
- 1/4 Tea S Salt
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 1 Cup granulated sugar
- 2 Pcs Large Eggs
- 1 Tea S Vanilla extract
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- Set oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a 9-inch round cake pan in oven until melted. Over melted butter Drizlle brown sugar while removing pan.
- Arrange the pineapple chunks in a single layer over the brown sugar. Place a maraschino cherry in the center of each pineapple slice and any additional space.
- Mix the baking powder, flour and salt.
- Mix well softened butter and granulated sugar to make it fluffy than beat in the vanilla extract and eggs in a mixing bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend until just combined.
- Carefully pour the batter over the pineapple pieces in the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake atleast for approx. 40-45 minutes
- Take the cake out of oven and for 5 minutes let it cool in pan. Further, on a serving plate invert the cake. Allow it to cool completely before servings
