- 3 Pcs Large Eggs
- 3/4 Cups All-purpose flour
- 3/4 Cups Milk
- 2 Table S Granulated sugar
- 1/2 Tea S Vanilla extract
- 1/4 Tea S Salt
- 2 Table S Butter
- Powdered sugar, fresh berries, or maple syrup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Heat a 10-inch ovenproof skillet or baking dish in the oven.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, flour, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Carefully take the hot skillet or baking dish out of the oven and add the butter. Swirl the pan to melt and coat the bottom and sides of the butter.
- Pour the pancake batter into the hot skillet or baking dish, and return it to the oven immediately.
- Bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, or until the pancake is puffed up and golden brown around the edges.
- Remove the German Pancakes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. As it cools, it will reduce slightly.
- Cut the pancake into wedges and serve warm. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh plums or maple syrup, if desired.
