Ingredients

  • 1/4 c apple cider*
  • 1/4 c bourbon
  • 1/2 c catsup
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 c corn syrup
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1/3 c packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 T fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c minced onion
  • 1 tsp Cavenders Greek seasoning
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c water

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a slow cooker
  2. Stir to combine
  3. Heat to 200 degrees F
  4. Cook 4 hours
  5. If sauce isn't desired consistancy remove lid and cook 1 to 2 hours longer
  6. Stir occastional with a whisk
  7. Bottle and store in the refrigerator
  8. *For a completely smooth sauce, puree in a blender until smooth
  9. I have left it chunky and I have pureed
  10. It's good both ways
  11. When I pureed the sauce, I did so before cooking it.
