Ingredients

  • 2 apples - cored
  • 5 carrots - peeled
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Place a steamer basket in a large sauce pot and pour in just enough water to see through the basket.Bring the water to a boil by placing a lid on the pot.Cut carrots into about 1 inch chunks.Once water has come to a boil, remove lid and add apples and carrots.Cover and let steam until tender (about 20 minutes or so.)Place tender carrots and apples into a food processor or blender and puree until smooth
  2. Add water until you've reached your desired consistency
  3. (I added about 1 cup.)To freeze: place puree in ice cube trays.Once frozen, remove from tray and place cubes into a zip lock bag to store.
